A group of dedicated volunteers operate the Goldstream Fish Hatchery with the common goal of enhancing the declining stocks of Coho, Chinook, and Chum Salmon in the waters of southern BC. Their focuses are to maintain and improve the health and abundance of salmon living around the southern part of Vancouver Island, while also raising awareness of the declining salmon populations in BC, and highlighting the importance of salmon in local ecosystems. Volunteers are always appreciated and welcome.
