Fernwood Community Association

The Fernwood Community Association acts as a liaison between the Fernwood Community and the City of Victoria, advocating for local concerns about public projects taking place within the community and ensuring that members of the community are involved in the democratic process. The board has up to 15 elected volunteer executives at one time, with four committees: the Land Use Committee, Building Committee, Cultural Committee, and Safety Committee.

In addition to their small office at 1923 Fernwood Road, they operate the Paul Phillips Hall and a boardroom that are available for rent for community events. Regular users of the space include Theatre Inconnu, Pandora Arts Collective, Cafe Simpatico of the Victoria Central America Support Committee, and the Little Fernwood Gallery.

Monthly meetings for the Fernwood Community Association are held every second Wednesday of the month at 7.30pm. If you live, work, or volunteer within the borders of Fort St., Hillside Ave., Quadra St., and Shelbourne Rd., you can become a member of the Association - it only costs $5.00 a year to become a member and contribute to the democratic process within your community!
