Ride your bike to the Sooke Park & Ride, a convenient location on Highway 14 at Sooke River Road, and take transit the rest of the way! The Sooke Park & Ride was expanded in 2010 to include a total of 99 parking stalls, 2 bike lockers that have storage for 4 bikes, and bike racks. The park and ride is a well-lit, safe place to park your bike, and the community in Sooke has been involved every step of the way. In 2011, the bike lockers were painted by Edward Milne Community School students, showing local interest and support by Sooke residents in sustainable mobility. The bus shelters feature student art as well, and the park and ride facility is landscaped with native groundcovers. In fact, as part of the District of Sooke's Communities in Bloom (CIB) urban forest plan, 12 trees were contributed to the park and ride.
