UVic Students' Society (UVSS) Food Bank

The UVSS operates an emergency food bank located in the basement of
the SUB. The UVSS Food Bank is run by volunteers and offers students the
opportunity to get emergency grocery staples on a weekly basis.

Students can drop by the UVSS Food Bank during posted drop-in hours,
or by making an appointment with the food bank coordinator. All services
are totally confidential and all UVic students are welcome to use the
food bank.

Donations are always welcome and volunteers are always needed.

University of Victoria Sustainability Project (UVSP)

The University of Victoria Sustainability Project (UVSP) is an accessible and inclusive student-organized group dedicated to connecting, promoting, and engaging in action that utilizes sustainability as a tool for building a healthier future. The organization acts by supporting all of the currently active groups on and off campus that promote social equality, redistributes social control, and expands ecological consciousness.

South Tower Residences (UVic)

Since the green building guidelines were adopted in 2006, every building the University of Victoria has constructed has incorporated sustainability into design, construction and operations.

This building is one of six campus buildings to achieve Gold level status in the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System.

First People's House (UVic)

Since the green building guidelines were adopted in 2006, every building the University of Victoria has constructed has incorporated sustainability into design, construction and operations.

This building is one of six campus buildings to achieve Gold level status in the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System.

The First People's House also has a green roof and storm retention pond.
