Vancouver Island Regional Library (Sidney/North Saanich)

In 1966, the communities of North Saanich and Sidney joined VIRL and a branch opened on Beacon Ave. In 1967, the library moved to the Annex at SANSCHA Hall. The library has been at its current location, a few blocks from Sidney's downtown,  since 1982. The branch is wheel chair accessible and has 6 public access computers.

The Vancouver Island Regional Library's mission is to enrich lives and communities through universal access to knowledge, lifelong learning, and literacy. Their vision is to develop strong library branches that are vital community destinations for knowledge, inspiration, innovation, and renewal.
