UVic Geography Department

Geography is the original interdisciplinary study, embracing various branches of knowledge in science and social science.  The UVic Geography Department houses the third largest number of undergraduates in Canada, and fosters in its students a sense of their natural and social communities.  Housed in a LEEDs Certified Gold building, the department reflects its home by promoting sustainability in its courses, within the department, on its various field schools, and within the larger community.  While providing a broad array of learning experiences for both BSc and BA majors, the department also offers the following concentrations:

  • Coastal Studies
  • Environment and Sustainability
  • Geomatics
