The Anti.Violence.Project (AVP) is committed to addressing and ending gender-based violence. Located on UVic campus, AVP offers a variety of services to community members as well as UVic faculty and staff. You can also attend training and volunteer with AVP.

Beckley Farm Lodge is a non-profit residential care facility owned and operated by the Beckley Farm Lodge Society,  providing safe, comprehensive and compassionate residential care and outreach programs in the James Bay community since 1981. 

The Fernwood Community Association acts as a liaison between the Fernwood Community and the City of Victoria, advocating for local concerns about public projects taking place within the community and ensuring that members of the community are involved in the democratic process. The board has up to 15 elected volunteer executives at one time, with four committees: the Land Use Committee, Building Committee, Cultural Committee, and Safety Committee.

The Fernwood NRG is a neighborhood-run initiative dedicated to improving and sustaining the health and diversity of their community. Their values encompass sustainability in every sense of the word, and this group of individuals share a common passion for the upkeep of their vibrant neighborhood.With a wide range of special events throughout the year that are open to the public, there is something to inspire everyone to be more sustainable in their own life.

The Vancouver Island Public Interest Research Group (VIPIRG) is a non-profit organization dedicated to research, education, advocacy, and other action in the public interest. Located in the Student Union Building of the University of Victoria, VIPIRG is a place where students and community members connect to work together on social justice and environmental issues.

VIPIRG is located in the Student Union Building, room B122, on UVic Campus.
